New WAW3-2 and FRA1-2 cloud regions available for CREODIAS users
CloudFerro, the operator of CREODIAS, is adding two additional cloud regions for CREODIAS users – WAW3-2 and FRA1-2.
The WAW3-2 region, based in Warsaw, Poland, is built on OpenStack Yoga. It offers a significant increase in computing power compared to older regions and will be connected to the EODATA main repository via multiple 100 Gbit/s links. This ensures high-speed data access and processing. This region also features a user-friendly Kubernetes platform for automated deployment, enhancing efficiency and productivity. The primary computing offering is based on AMD processors and offers very competitive pricing. From a user’s perspective, this means better performance per euro compared to other cloud providers. Additionally, there are VMs with local storage ideally suited for data processing or building Kubernetes clusters. We have also improved SSD network block storage performance over previous clouds. WAW3-2 shares a data center location with the WAW3-1 cloud.
The FRA1-2 region, based in Frankfurt, Germany, is also built on OpenStack Yoga. It is distinct from the WAW3 and CF2 regions, yet provides significant computing power and is connected to the EODATA main repository, ensuring high-speed data access and processing. This region also features a user-friendly Kubernetes platform for automated deployment, enhancing efficiency and productivity. The computing offerings are similar in terms of CPU and flavor compositions to WAW3-1. This region is located in our FRA1 data center, which is BSI certified.
Both regions will become available in June to CREODIAS customers. If you need more computing power or want to test the new regions, please reach out to the Support Team at support@creodias.eu or your sales representative.
