Remote Transfer for EODATA service on CREODIAS enables users to access its extensive Earth Observation data repository directly from their own infrastructure via the S3 protocol. This allows seamless integration of satellite data into external processing workflows without the need for prior downloads. Users can retrieve entire products, specific granules, metadata, or even segments of individual files, facilitating tasks like isolated tile extraction from Sentinel-1 or Sentinel-2 datasets.
The service leverages CloudFerro's high-bandwidth capabilities, offering multiple 10GE connections to ensure efficient data transfers without limitations or queues. Pricing is set at €37 per terabyte of data transferred, with billing occurring monthly. While access to Copernicus data remains open and free, this additional service caters to users requiring external data transfers to remote locations.
