Copernicus Sentinel-2C sets available on CREODIAS

Copernicus Sentinel-2C datasets are now available in the Data Explorer on the CREODIAS platform. Sentinel-2C is a new satellite that has just been launched, joining Sentinel-2A and Sentinel-2B. Its datasets are now available on CREODIAS. The Sentinel-2C satellite is still in commissioning phase and users should note that radiometric cross-calibration with Sentinel-2A is still in progress.
The Sentinel-2A will initiate its maneuvers to reach a new orbital position, 36° away from Sentinel-2B, by early March 2025. This configuration will improve the availability of Sentinel-2 data, with additional Sentinel-2 observations on the same relative orbit, occurring 2 days apart from Sentinel-2B and 1 day apart from Sentinel-2C.
To access the Sentinel-2C data, just go to the Data Explorer, on the CREODIAS platform, choose Sentinel-2 mission, and check the “C” platform option.
