In addition to the previously announced upcoming launch of the new EODATA catalogue, we are happy to provide you with a new frontend service for searching and exploring data - Data Explorer. This is a new service that draws on the last few years of our and our users' experience.

From now on, Data Explorer will provide such features as:

  • uploading your own AOI in Polygon (geojson, kml)
  • supporting for multipolygon (.wkt)
  • advanced, more intuitive searching
  • searching by type e.g. Optical, Radar, Altimetry, DEM
  • on-the-fly created Query URL

Along with Data Explorer, users will gain access to an additional feature called Workspace, in which you will be able to do the following with greater ease:

  • order fresh data
  • order archived data
  • order data that requires processing
  • view your orders
  • track the progress of your orders
  • view the history of your orders in one place.

Our previous Finder tool is still available, however, as of February 20th it will no longer be supported and developed. Finder uses a new catalogue and includes both - old and new products, however, some services may have limited functionalities.

Therefore, we recommend using the new Data Explorer solution.

Please see FAQs regarding Data Explorer:

The first external identity provider, EGI Check-in, is now available on our new cloud management and billing panel. This integration allows for greater flexibility and security in managing user access to our services.

In the near future, we plan to expand our options for identity providers in order to best serve the diverse needs of our customers. If your organization requires the integration of additional identity sources, please do not hesitate to contact our support team for assistance at support@creodias.eu.

Have you ever wanted to perform fast prototyping of your ML models on a global scale?

Now you can even produce a Sentinel-2 time-lapse of the entire world for a full year  in a fast cost-effective manner thanks to a newly created 120-meter resolution harmonized yearly stack that can be used by everyone.

The new collections available on CREODIAS can facilitate the creation of various ML workflows with EO imagery from Sentinel-2 on a global scale. This can be applied in many areas of research or education, e.g. in agriculture (crop classification), climate change (snow cover), and many more. Now you can perform these analyses yourself in EO Browser, Jupyter Notebook, or elsewhere.

The operator of CREODIAS, a platform aiming to provide all possible Earth Observation data in one place, has signed a reseller agreement with Planet Labs GmbH. Right now CREODIAS users can additionally benefit from Planet's products and imagery on commercial terms.

Planet provides solutions such as Planet Monitoring, the service uses almost 200 CubeSat satellites. Thanks to this huge number of microsatellites we can monitor the area we need every day at a resolution of up to 3.7m in 4 multispectral channels with revisits of up to 90 minutes.

For that, the Planet Tasking service gives us access to SkySat satellite tasking with a resolution of 0.5m also in four multispectral channels.

All services are available in a user-friendly web environment, and for full automation, access via API is provided.

The extensive archive of satellite products dates back as far as 2009.
