CREODIAS at Copernicus Data Access and Contributing Missions Workshop
As requested by the Copernicus User Forum in September 2018, the European Commission is organising a workshop to take stock of the state-of-play of access to Copernicus Sentinel data, service information, contributing mission and in-situ data.
As more and more users are showing strong interests in using Copernicus data and information, the access to this data and information is and will remain a critical element of the programme in need of constant adaption and evolution to satisfy the user demands. The Copernicus programme is therefore embracing new technologies allowing users to concentrate less on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure and more on data and information analysis and exploitation activities, which are at the core of their expertise. In so doing, Copernicus is also entering into new kind of relationship with industry and public users leaving to them the initiative to develop a service ecosystem (public and private) on top of any Data and Information Access Service (DIAS).
Our CREODIAS delegation is present during this event, and will support the live demonstration of one of our partners - QresQ. QresQ will demonstrate their Emergency platform that focuses on Sentinel 2 data, derived from CREODIAS.
